Modelling on the cheap by Andrew Clarke 

I was there for a free tool to model or reverse eng. of complex Oracle schemas, and got it :) Schemester is the answer, an opensource project for Oracle data modelling.

Also Andrew mentioned Jdev(free downloadable at otn) 11g may help, but upto now it was more a java modeller tool.
